Day 1

Depart on the overnight flight to Johannesburg.

Days 2-4

Connecting flight to Lilongwe and onward light aircraft transfer to the Liwonde National Park to stay for three nights at the Mvuu Wilderness Lodge. Situated along the banks of the Shire River, this property offers exclusive accommodation in spacious, luxurious tents. There are just five tents, each with an en-suite bathroom and a private veranda raised over the lagoon, ensuring prime and discreet wildlife viewing. Activities available include boating, morning, afternoon and evening game drives, and nature walks in search of the excellent diversity of animals and birdlife which inhabit Malawi’s premier game reserve. Days 5-8

Fly by light aircraft to stay for four nights at Kaya Mawa. Located on Likoma Island in the middle of Lake Malawi, Kaya Mawa is considered to be one of the most remote and romantic places in the world. This fabulous hideaway boasts just seven exclusive cottages hewn out of the granite headland, and overlooking a beautiful crescent-shaped beach, ideal for lazing on or for sailing, snorkelling, kayaking or waterskiing. With as much or as little as guests wish to do, it is the perfect place at which to relax and savour the memories of safari. (FB)

Day 9

Return to Lilongwe and fly to Johannesburg for onward overnight flight to the UK.
