Tanzania

The wildlife in Tanzania is considered by many to be the best in Africa, with most of the major species relatively easy to spot, particularly during the famed migration of the wildebeest. The scenery is varied and includes the Great Plains, Mount Kilimanjaro, tropical coastal plains, and numerous islands.
The cost of luxury holidays in Tanzania is generally higher than elsewhere in East Africa, but Tanzania’s unique attractions are truly priceless, and whilst some of the safari accommodation and hotels are world-class, keep in mind when you travel to Tanzania that the roads are often in poor condition.
Tanzania has over one hundred tribal groups, mostly of Bantu origin and including the colourful Masai, although on the islands such as Zanzibar the atmosphere is more Arabic and most of the people Muslim.
The coastal area enjoys a tropical and humid climate whilst the northern plateau is more temperate. There are two rainy seasons, with the long rains from April to June, and the short rains in October & November.
